    1. As with most academic compilations, some essays were better than others. Anne Marie Baylouny's chapter on the women of Hizbullah was particularly good. I appreciated, also, the sensitivity shown to the individual stories and experiences of the men and women of the rebellions. So often, we only hear the "official" points of view.
