    1. Modigliani has a style and sensibility that I just never can take my eyes away from. The way that he paints women, in particular, is incomparable by any other so-called modern artist that comes to mind (eh, I could argue that Tamara de Lempicka might be better). So, naturally, I jumped at a book covering both his history (which I new very little about) and the muses that impacted his life.It was a solid read, but honestly, I picked this up from the library for the images.
