    1. I just recently saw this on one of my Goodwill adventures really should've bought it because I read it a long time ago and really liked it. I was wondering for a few months now what the book was that I had read where the hero had been disfigured by battle scars in the Crimean, and I remembered him being a great hero and really it could've been many different books, but seeing this one at the Goodwill brought it all back, and I knew this was the one I had been thinking of.
