    1. 3.5 starsEveryone deserves a second chance and this was a lovely start to one! Appearance is everything when you're on top so if you suffer a major setback it shatters everything your confidence, trust and emotional well-being. Dee and Craig develop a friendship watching movies and just hanging out together its sweet. It would have been so much better to hear more about them while they were becoming fast friends as this was another book that suffered from being too short. Once they got into a re [...]

    2. I agree with what Vio has to say about this title. While the story is sweet (and YAY for not too many sex scenes with the one-two-three-fingers-lube-condom-push-more-yes thing) but I do think the it suffers a bit due to its length. I know it's hard to get the right balance for short story. In this, the 'problem' lies in the fact that the process of Craig and Dee becoming friends almost all happened in the background. Suddenly it's six weeks later and they are friends. Even after the climax (in w [...]

    3. This is one of those short stories which are very sweet, very romantic and very enjoyable.Craig is a gorgeous young man who wants to be a model but like a lot of guys who don't make it, ends up working as an escort with 'benefits'. He's hired by a mysterious client, Dee, who insists that he doesn't want to be seen or touched he only wants companionship. Craig is intrigued by this quiet, shy man and after a few meetings, he grows to enjoy their platonic visits which are spent just talking or watc [...]

    4. Sweet story about a 'mysterious' client Dee that Craig meets every thursday.Craig developed feelings for Dee, now I guess the length sort of hindered me seeing the love/friendship between the MC's.We are told all about the 'dates' but I didn't see it, and the ending was so abrupt, I wanted to know a bit more after ' the revelation' .But, I liked the idea and just wished it had been fleshed out a little more.(view spoiler)[ the no lube -no condom thing is a big no-no for me, and they didn't even [...]

    5. 3.5 stars, but rounded down b/c well was enjoyable and likeable, but not "really liked it!" worthy :)Basically, this short novella was sweet rent boy fluff, and let's just say that's a combo that's guaranteed to catch my eye. Recommended if you can borrow it like I did. It's available to borrow as an ebook from the San Francisco Public Library.

    6. Sweet story about a young escort who falls for a client who only wants companionship. They spend weeks together before anything happens, so the buildup is nice. I did think it a little odd that Dee was able to somehow completely hide his appearance in shadows. I wish there was a little more detail to Dee's ptsd recovery and their continuing relationship. Overall, this was a nice quick feel good story.

    7. Beholding Beauty by Sam Singer3.5 StarsReviewed for heartsonfirereviewsThis was a sweet novella about Craig, a small town boy who came to California with dreams of making it big as a model. He’s beautiful enough, unfortunately it is to his detriment. He is turned away from job after job for being “too pretty”. It isn’t long before his savings run out and he signs with an escort service to pay the bills. Craig is not into self delusion, he is working as a high priced whore and he knows it [...]

    8. This was cute and sweet and short, which was precisely what I was looking for when I picked it up. I'm afraid it might have been TOO short, however. I still don't feel like I know either character very well, nor do I understand why they made some of the choices they did.A lot of the relationship also developed off-page, so Dee and Craig jump from meeting one night to six weeks later--having spent one night a week together--being friends. Apparently they had a lot of fun intellectual debates and [...]

    9. It has a bit of a beauty and beast like theme going on, except for the fact that no one is really a beast physically. I enjoyed the story but would have liked it to a bit longer. I also found that I didn't like that portions of the story was kind of summarized I would have liked to read about Craig trying to get over Dee. I also thought that the author could have taken advantage of the story and written in what Dee was going through after his fall out with Craig.

    10. I have had this book on my bookshelf for a very long timeI finally started reading it on the way to work this morning and finished it a few minutes agoFor a short story it told a pretty hot tale of two hearts who were destined in some way to end up togetherThe main character Dee is a hurt soul and damaged man and Craig who comes his way as a male escorted will change his life and show him how to live and love again

    12. I'm not sure how to rate this book. It's one of those books that is sweet and emotional, and really touches your heart, but then happens something that is a big no-no and you just can't get over it. Unfortunately, since (view spoiler)[unprotected sex (hide spoiler)] is a big "thou shalt not", especially in Craig's line of work, I'm giving this story only 3 stars.

    13. I wish this story was longer or that we would get sequel to this book. Craig and Dee were interesting character and at the end a great couple. But why making this story so short? The main storyline is well developed and pulling for the whole time, A new developing romance between Craig and Dee develops slowly, which is great. I liked it.

    14. I really LOVED! this story. I want a sequel.ease????,,LOLThe only thing I would have changed about it was to add more passion when they finally came together without the aid of darkness.Nice job :-) May I have more? No, seriouslyLOL
