    1. Great read! Review to be posted along with my tour date: 10/8**FULL REVIEW**“As she straddled his lap, keeping her feet on the floor, Chris’ eyes closed and inhaled sharply. Abby felt his hardness beneath her and knew he was as turned on as she was. She stroked her fingertips down his cheeks, neck and chest and he threw his head back. As she leaned forward, she grabbed his biceps for support and whispered against his ear. “Touch me,” she said. His hands moved quickly from his sides up he [...]

    2. 3 StarsCopy provided by author in exchange for honest reviewStripped by Brenda Rothert is one a story that takes you a closer look on the life of Abby Gillis, a 24 year old stripper, dancing and stripping her way to support her two younger sisters, brother, and druggie mother. Abby's life consisted of work and supporting her family so she has no times for relationships. She practically takes on the role of a mom to her younger sisters since their mother is an addicted druggie, who cares more abo [...]

    4. Stripped was one of those books that took me by surprise. I have read a lot of books where the bad girl gets the good guy and they run off into the sunset but what I really enjoyed about this book was the fact that both main characters had defects and were broken in one way or another but they worked together to be one. That is special to me because I hate when their is instant love. I know that it happens but dam can I have some bantering back and forth and some dam fore play between the charac [...]

    5. I do love a good stripper love story. All the characters were good & the story between Abbi & Chris was fun, emotional & romantic.

    7. This was a story that I was able to devour in one sitting. Abby is an intelligent woman trying to make the best life that she can for herself and her brother, sisters, and a drug addicted mother. Stripping and the fast money that it brings, provide her with what appears to be her best optiond an unexpected chance at love.Chris is a young, handsome doctor, and when he refuses a lap dance from a beautiful stripper on the night of his best friend Reed's bachelor party; he has no idea that she will [...]

    8. Reviewed By Whit@Shooting Stars ReviewsStripped starts out with Abby being a stripped at a pretty seedy strip club. One night while working she meets a man who says no to a lap dance. It totally throws her off because she's never been turned before. While this thought is odd forever its soon forgotten when she goes home and has to deal with her mother. Her mother isn't such a great mom, and Abby does everything she can to take care of her two sisters, and brother. But when her mother is in troub [...]

    9. I do love these stories where a girl is working as a stripper just to make it by and help support her siblings. Some of the verbiage felt awkward but it was not enough for me to want to stop reading. I really wanted to know how everything was going to work out. I did not skim. The story did not drag. The author did a great job keeping me interested in the plot and the characters. One thing and I am not sure if this is just in the edition I received but I wish there was some “break” when a scen [...]

    10. What was the complete sell for me with this book was the premise--a doctor and a stripper! A truly novel idea. ;) Some people might think it hard to make a stripper a sympathetic character but I loved Abby, with all her insecurities and problems. You really want to see this girl get her happily ever after! I like that in the end she made her own decision, that it wasn't forced by Chris.Chris was a definite hottie and Rothert did a great job of playing up that inherent sexiness of a man in scrubs [...]

    11. Stripped is definitely a good time read, mixed with a bunch of heaviness. And it works, ooooh it works so well! Abby is a strong independent woman with the weight of her entirely family on her shoulders. Chris is a successful doctor, who is immediately drawn to Abby. However, Abby, is a stripper. Yet, in some ways, she isn't your typical stripper-in-a-book, she has a day job, and a family that is counting on her. She also has ZERO interest in meeting a guy until Chris comes barging into her life [...]

    12. I enjoyed this book. Abby works a second job as a stripper to support her family. She meets Chris, an ER doctor. Abby doesn't think a relationship between them can work so they agree to be friends. I love a book with sexual tension, and there was definitely tension between Chris and Abby. They each have their own issues to deal with, but they are able to help each other.

    13. I really enjoyed the book was hard to put downI really enjoyed all the directions the book was takinger understanding of Abbi's lifestyled it wasn't one of those easy to get relationshipshave to work on itloved the book

    18. A great read about two unlikely characters falling for each other. Love Chris's protective nature & Abby's mothering nature. A great read!

    20. This is a newer author for me. I have read one book by Ms. Rothert previously, and I liked it enough to try others. Of course, this caught my attention as the possibility of a quick, guilty pleasure read. While it did have many of those elements, Stripped also had a lot of emotion and a lot of heart. The main character, Abby, is a stripper by night, but uses her college degree working as an executive assistant during the day. This was very much a scenario of a stripper with a heart of gold, beca [...]

    21. I was drawn to Stripped by it's synopsis. I know a little something about having a lot of responsibility at a young age, so I figured I'd be able to identify with Abby. I liked the premise, obviously. And I liked the characters. I ended up liking Stripped, but I felt I could have liked it so much more.Abby Gillis is a strong, determined young woman. She's had to give up a lot in her life to care and provide for her younger siblings due to their mother's drug abuse and chronic illness. It's quite [...]

    22. Stripped by Brenda Rothert was a quick enjoyable read. In this book, we have a nice mix of characters. Abby is an assistant by day and a stripper by night. She is doing everything in her power to give the best she can offer to her mom, sisters and brother. Her job as a stripper has ups and downs like any other job, but she goes through a lot of problems to get the bills paid and food on the table. Chris is a doctor who has commitment problems, but once he sees Abby he wants to change her world a [...]

    23. 3.5 StarsI was excited to start Stripped because I wanted to know what it would be like for a stripper to fall in love. It must be hard to be in this kind of work, and then have to deal with a relationship too. Stripped is a fun read, but it manages to deal with some important issues and everyday lives.Abby is more than a stripper as we find out. She is smart and beautiful with a kind heart. She actually works two jobs, one for the insurance, the other to support her family: brother in college a [...]

    24. I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.Honestly it took me a few chapters to get into this book. But when I got hooked, I couldn’t put it down. Abby is a big sister to brother and two sisters. Her so-called drug-using self-medicating mother hates her. Dear old Mom takes every opportunity to talk down to Abby and steal money from her. Meanwhile, Abby is working full-time plus works a few nights a week as a stripper. She’s the care-giver to her siblings and does not want to let t [...]

    25. Stripped has a pretty unique story line, which was initially what made me fascinated by the book. It seemed like a pretty easy yet romantic novel to read, and it was.Stripped revolves around 24-year-old Abby Gillis, who is a part-time stripper. The reason she "dances" for a living is because she is the main provider in her family, which consists of two younger sisters, a younger brother, and a sick, recovering drug addict of a mother. So she has a good reason for doing what she does. Then, one d [...]

    26. View more of my review and others at my blog: mynotsovacantshelfThis book was kind of hot. Now, the copy that I received was a little jumbled. I’m not sure if that is how it is for everyone, it may have been the review copies. Either way I did notice that it jumped around quite a bit. There was also no indication of when it was changing scenes or points of views and it threw me off a bit. However, I’ve never read a stripper story and I have to admit that I did enjoy it. I found it a little f [...]

    27. I pretty enjoyed reading this book. In the beginning until the middle of the story, the plot was really inviting me in reaching the last page of the story, the author has been success in making me curious, and made me stay awake for finishing this one. At this part, i love all the characters here. The characters' conversations were interesting and also the conflict which built up here was so creative. But instead of giving five, i prefer to give three for this one, because :-the plot was getting b [...]
