This was my first time to read any of Huncke's writings and I was not disappointed.The 'entries' in this journal are actually short stories and anecdotes, most of which probably happened to Huncke or were written under the influence of some form of narcotics.I loved his story about the majestic beauty of Idaho when he was travelling through there with a companion and the chapter on Janine (Pommy-Vega) and Elise (Cowen), who was in love with Allen Ginsberg and ended up committing suicide, were fa [...]
