    1. Great continuation of the Bold family story, very funnyWe audio-read this in the car, my six year old each day asking: "Can we listen to the Bolds, please?!", a clear indication of his enjoyment. We listened to the first a few months ago, and he clearly remembered the characters, though having quite a few new ones is less easy to follow on CD. The Bolds do return, and their adventure from the first book (rescuing animals from a safari park) has led to them becoming well-known as animal savers who [...]

    2. This was my introduction to the Bolds, a family of hyenas who "borrowed" their human identities from a human couple who encountered an accident while they were traveling in their home country of Africa. The Bolds are now living in England and have become a haven for animals who want to be human or at least no longer animal. They are taught how to walk upright, wear clothes, use utensils, and carry on conversations. Their home is getting quite crowded with the addition of an crocodile, who has le [...]

    3. The second book in The Bold series does not disappoint. Very clever and entertaining for adults as well. As usual, David Roberts (one of my most favorite illustrators) does not disappoint with his artwork. I love how it reflects urban diversity - at the pony ride there is a Sikh boy riding with a Joora. The jokes in the book (Mr. Bold, remember, works for a Christmas cracker company) will torture adults and teachers alike once young readers get their hands on them. : ) Enough British phrases to b [...]

    4. Woot, The Bolds are back again! And this time they bring a lot of new friends with them.I read the first Bolds book last year, and was delighted to find out there would be more books about this extra-ordinary family of 4. This book was once again filled to the brim with bad jokes (though still hilarious, especially when one tells them to the boyfriend and he just shakes his head, and then groans when he finds out the answer to the riddles/jokes), animals that want to become human or at least, ac [...]

    5. The Bolds are back but this time, they are helping many new friends become human. The animal rumor mill has spread the news that The Bolds are hyenas pretending to be humans and that they rescue animals in need. From a crocodile who hates being stuck in the sewers, to a french poodle who wants to be a star, seagulls who just want to hang around, and even run away race horses that do not want to be turned into meat, The Bolds and Mr. McNumpty do their best to teach them all how to act like humans [...]

    6. pretty funny middle grade school fiction book! Kids are going to find animals disguising themselves as humans to live and work among humans pretty hilarious! The Bolds become a animal rescue house as more animals show up at their door wanting to learn to behave and look like humans. Silly story! Kids will love it.

    7. Very funny and adventurous this is a good book because it has animals doing strange things and nice things
