    1. DNFIt's boring to be blunt. The POV's seem to be specifically separated - even if it's no more than a few sentences, but then in the next 'section', there will be a sentence or two here and there that are clearly not from the same person. Plus, most of the time, most of the characters are taking absolute CRAP!There's no evidence of character, or character growth, and I got halfway thru. There also seem absolutely NO reason for a relationship to be building between the two, but it is kind of. Obv [...]

    2. This is about Paige Walsh, who decides to attend the annual Highland Games on Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina and does a deal with a Gypsy she meets there to find herself a highlander of her own. Her plan backfires & instead she ends up in the past facing a clan of Highlanders, who take her to live with them but then begins to fall for their leader. Maybe living in the past, won't be so bad after all.I love Lorraine's other books & she's excellent at time- travel romance, which is [...]

    3. Laughing out loud Book itself is very entertaining but be warned it is also very funny. Paige wants to meet a real Highlander. You mix mead, Highland games, gypsy fortune teller, and a contract signed in blood. You get an entertaining novellas. Well-developed characterization and well-written story line. Adult readers due sexual and violent content. Game was interesting but

    4. Two copies in the Kindle storeGot this as a free book from the Kindle store, and loved it. Interesting story with enough of a draw to keep the pages turning. The story is worth reading But keep in mind you get the same book twice so cut the average read time in half. I am serious. I got to the end of the book, realized how much was left thinking I got a twofer, but instead it's the exact same book on repeat. Had to scroll through to get to the end of it after the repeat.

    5. Interesting but shortI thought the main character Paige was too immature for her age. She comes off as silly, stupid and has a serious attachment problem. The book has some light humor. Gavin played his brooding heartbroken self. It just lacked. Maybe it's because we weren't introduced to the rest of his clan. As much as I want to know what happens next I just can't see buying it.

    6. This is the 1st time travel romance I read. I don't like romances in general, and time travel is just an element that doesn't appeal to me. The magic and time travel didn't make since. This one didn't focus on the sex, but it was described enough to not be clean. but it wasn't a lot and it wasn't in-depth detail. The hero was from the future too, so at least it made some kind of since why these 2 could bond and understand each other. but the plot was still unbelievable.

    7. Nice readI had many giggle fits reading the response of the main female character Paige. It sounded way too familiar! Quick read and a fun and sexy story. Only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was it ended too abruptly. I appreciate leaving you hanging and wanting more but I felt it stopped mid paragraph.

    8. DNF (only made it about 1/2 way through the book). This book was not my fav and I do not think I will try again later. I really did not like the main character, and the story line just felt wrong to me some how. I really wanted to like this book (I usually love time travel romances), however, this book was just not for me.

    9. Had potentialThe idea was there but not the execution. The main character Paige is annoying, I couldn't even finish it. Can't make up her mind, keeps calling herself a "b", doesn't speak up, and classic "why is he acting like this" when she causes her own problems! Do not recommend at all.

    10. So servitude equals love now?Practically overnight she discovers herself to be in love with the guy who's only interactions were essentially telling her to clean the keep or screw him when he feels like it Don't waste your time.

    11. A Different Time TravelThis seemed like a short story to me and perhaps I was expecting more. I enjoyed the storyline but wished I'd gotten to know the characters better. Of course, there IS a part 2.

    12. Laird Gavin finds Paige in the mists just like all the others. Will she be the one that helps find the treasure? Paige goes to the highland games in North Carolina and end up in the past in Scotland. Will she die there as a sacrifice to the monster that guards the treasure?

    13. It started out good and funny and then it got serious and I got bored. Paige was just plain irritating because she couldn't make up her mind what she wanted. I had a difficult time finishing this book.

    14. Good book if onlyThis would be a good book if only it had all the pages! So many pages are simply blank and the reader has to infer what has happened from the text on the following pages. Even the ending is gone. Very frustrating.

    15. Anti-climacticThe reading is confusing at the beginning. This book is only half the size in truth as its 2 versions of the same book. Is there a point to that, not really. It leaves with a huge cliff hanger. What is the reason for alt ending and epilogue when it is a series.

    16. A Scottish highland taleTravel through time to the past. Not sure when but 13 highlanders a monster, treasure and mass murder occur as well as a romance of sorts.Didn't really take to the style of the book

    17. Time travel with humor and cliffhangerThis is supposed to be a story about Scottish time travel with some humor mixed in, but what I'm finding is a cliffhanger. I don't enjoy getting to the end of a book to find you need to purchase the next book to find out what happens next.

    18. Cliffhanger endingThis book has two versions, first person and third person. I thought that the third person version written better. Good story. Ending leads up to second book

    19. LovelyI enjoyed the suspense and intrigue. Can wait for the next one. Gavin and Paige are a cute couple. Enjoy

    20. Too confusingIt really jumped from one pov. To another. Choppy and the clue thing while a cute idea didn't make much sense. Not for me.

    21. ANOTHER CLIFF HANGER!!Sheez, what is up with an author NOT mentioning this is a cliff hanger???!!! So rude. No way in hades am I playing the Let's Buy Another Book game!

    22. The time travelerLorraine Beaumont has done a great job on this story but it was too short and it doesn't tell what happened I give this story a one star rating

    23. Give it an an award some one!One of THE BEST series I have ever read! You won't be disappointed I promise. I hope this series NEVER ENDS!!!

    24. Quite GoodIt took me a few tries to get into this book. Once I had the characters starting appealing to me. Though I wish there had been more of an introduction to the 13 Highlanders; for instance I know there had to be more of a story when it came to them not just Gavin. Also the crone/ the gypsy. Paige's story was sort of vague beside the fact she was quite mouthy and toothsome. It's like the story was missing something. The whole story concept was great don't get me wrong it just felt like it [...]

    25. While it wasn't perfect grammatically, it definitely made up for it in the storyline and characters. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Gavin and Paige. I'm ready to read book two now. This was such an interesting Highlander action packed suspense filled book with a dab of romance.

    26. How fun was this to read!? I loved the interactive concept. What a fun way to get readers to having fun!! Cute story too!
