    1. I am so excited to bring you The Awakened 1.5! Meet fan favorite, Liam, in his point of view. Follow him as he journeys away from his home of Atlanta, escaping the Awakened with his parents, and fighting hard to find a place to survive. He'll meet the characters, Zoey and Ash, that you've come to know and love from The Awakened, and some new ones that just *might* appear in the upcoming sequel, The Sanctuary! I hope you all enjoy!

    2. 4 stars! The Survivor is a short story told from Liam's perspective. It adds a different few to the story and I enjoyed reading this novella. If you liked The Awakened then I recommend reading this novella.

    3. We first met Liam during the events of The Awakened when he becomes Zoey's ally but in this short story we witness the events of the outbreak from a new pair of eyes. The main strength of this short piece was that we get to see how Liam lived before and after first meeting Zoey. I enjoyed the new POV as we watch Liam struggle to adapt to the new apocalyptic environment and having to witness him leaving his family and fiancee behind. But I sort of struggled to read this, and that maybe be due to t [...]

    4. The Survivor was a meh story, although it had its moments it feels like we didnt need the story in the first place, we dont learn much that we dont know about and it just felt dragged on for me and I didnt find myself looking forward to reading it, I enjoyed reading the short sneak peek to Sanctuary better than reading the story itself :/ it just felt like it was the same thing with Liams POV and a slight piece of extra information

    5. Such an incredibly short story, but it does pack a punch. We see some of the events from The Awakened from Liam's perspective and even some scenes run parallel with the original book. I admire the action scenes Santana writes and that she doesn't hold back from the gore. This should hold me over until December.

    6. There are some novellas in a series that are fun, but totally skippable if you don't read them. This is NOT one of those. Liam is such a great character and I loved getting more of his story. It definitely enhanced the series so if you've read book one, I recommended read this BEFORE reading The Sanctuary.

    7. Liam is your new book boyfriendBut keep your hands off because he is MINE! This is a great novella about an intriguing character. Sara does a great job creating feels and making you invested in a story. I can't wait to read The Sanctuary!
