    1. Bio 3The book covers what happened to Pocahontas. When she became friends with white settlers she had to try and protect one of them named John Smith. After she was able to protect them and make peace between her people and the white settlers, she was kidnapped and taken to England. There she married and her name was changed.

    2. This is a great book to introduce during a Jamestown unit. It would be great to do a character study in which the students study in greater detail the key players in the Jamestown settlement, such as John Rolfe, John Smith, and Pocahontas. The biography offers details of the life of Pocahontas.

    3. This book could be considered multicultural literature, but I feel that it is mostly a biography about Pocahontas. This is a children's book which tells the story of Pocahontas's life.
