    1. Luke Hathaway was on a job when he sees an old flame, Claire Samson. She is currently wanted for the murder of her husband. Now she is on the run and runs to the only man she thinks she can trust.Just a fair read for me.

    2. HelenKay Dimon delivers alot of action in the 214 pages of her new Harlequin Intrigue Under the Gun. Clair Samson is on the run and in serious trouble. She's been set-up to take the fall for murdering her estranged husband Phil (who it turns out really isn't dead after all) and now someone is trying to kill her. Claire turns to the one man she believes can help her prove her innocence and keep her alive at the same time. Luke Hathaway hunts people for a living, both those who don’t want to be [...]

    3. I'm always surprised that I enjoy Harlequin books so much. The Intrigue books are usually well-written and engaging. Lots of suspense mixed in with the romance. Sexy heros and strong women. Hardly ever find one that isn't a good read and this is no exception. The blurb on the front of the book says Intrigue's Ultimate Heroes but it is book 1 one of Mystery Men series (that's the blurb on books 2 and 3.)

    4. The first book in the Mystery Men series starts out quickly on a suspenseful note, continuing at a fast paced. There is a lot of action packed into this category but there is also a romance that moves right along with the action.Claire Samson is wanted by the police but they're not the only ones after her. She turns to her former fiancé, Luke Hathaway, supposedly an antiques dealer. Fortunately for Claire, Luke is not into antiques rather he's into guns and knives and his ability with weapons c [...]

    5. For a story in the Thriller series, this one wasn’t thrilling. At all.A slow-paced plot, with twists and turns visible from miles away and bland, one-dimensional characters. Also, the heroine logic completely eluded me."I know my fiancé is keeping secrets from me, and since I have issues from my childhood, I don’t trust him to love me, so I’ll dump him and marry the first rich man that comes along, even though he turns out to be a cheater and tries to implicate me into his own murder to g [...]

    6. This one was very predictable and utterly forgettable. Girl runs out on guy because he was keeping secrets and she didn't ask. Meets new guy and jumps to marry him right away, doesn't hurt that he is very rich. New rich guy isn't what he seems and they end up divorced. He sets her up for his murder and to take the fall for stealing money. So what is the girl to do, well of course go back to the old guy, who it turns out as is a secret government agent who helps her out.

    7. This is a stand alone book but also the start of a great series called Mystery Men. There are five books in total all written by Helen Kay Dimon.

    8. BUCHANAN FAMILY SERIES Under the Gun - (Clare and Luke) - Clare being stalked, Luke protects, she joins recovery.Who wanted her dead? That’s what Claire Samson wanted to know. On the run and alone, there was only one man she trusted to find her. Recovery agent Luke Hathaway was the best at locating and saving, and she needed the best if she wanted to live. But the handsome agent who promised salvation had some conditions of his own. If he were to help, she needed to stick close by his side. Ve [...]

    9. This was pretty standard fare.Claire and Luke were engaged but she broke it off and married another man one month later. Fast forward. Claire's husband is (presumed) dead and she is on the run, wanted for his murder.Luke is a member of a top-secret agency which finds missing people - generally bad people - so undercover that he tells everyone he is an Antiques dealer (without much success I would say).Claire is certain that her husband is still alive and that for some reason he is framing her, m [...]

    10. Fast paced and lots of action. The characters are well written and well rounded. One of the best books of 2010 so far!

    11. This was an ok introduction to the series, I like some of the follow up books much better. a lot of the background that is introduced here makes following books make a lot more sense!
